The Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University and the Nova ScotiaHealth Authority seeks applications for a 1.0 FTE CCFP Certified Palliative Medicine Physician at the QEII Health Sciences Centre site.

The Division of Palliative Medicine is one of 15 divisions in the Department of Medicine.  In addition to playing an important clinical role in the Department, division members have excellent opportunities for collaborative educational and research endeavours with protected time for scholarly activities to ensure rewarding, fulfilling career development. 

It is expected that the successful candidate will provide for clinical work in specialty clinics, in community-based home settings and on palliative care inpatient units.

This is a combined University/Hospital position.  Academic rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.  Candidates must have CCFP certification (or equivalent) AND a certificate of added competence (or equivalent) in Palliative Care.  Preference will be given based on full time experience in Palliative Medicine.  Candidates must be eligible for specialty licensure in Nova Scotia and must be able to independently commute to a variety of care settings served by our service.
