Chief of MEDICAL Imaging – Excellent Career Opportunity

As Chief of Medical Imaging, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical leadership and medical oversight for the departments of Humber River Hospital and West Park Health Care Centre.  You will implement and maintain a state-of-the-art quality assurance and quality improvement program for the department, to ensure consistent high-quality service delivery. 

The Medical Imaging Department performs approximately 250,000 exams per year which includes Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, 24/7 General X-Ray, CT, and Ultrasound services for the Emergency Department and comprehensive services provided by the Breast Health Centre.  Our team of 250 staff complement our extensive equipment resources including 4 CT scanners, 3 MRI units, and 11 general ultrasound units, 2 SPECT CT and a dedicated nuclear cardiac camera.

You will join a team of 23 radiologists, working with all sub-specialties, be a member of the Medical Advisory Committee and work collaboratively with the Hospital administration and clinical departments to ensure quality of care standards within the department are met or exceeded. 

Applicants will demonstrate a value for quality of patient care and have excellent interpersonal skills. In addition to leadership, your role will include the provision of clinical diagnostic imaging services, and having subspecialty training and/or expertise will be considered an asset. University affiliation, experience in trainee education and/or research activities would also be considered assets. 

In addition to demonstrated clinical excellence and leadership, you require relevant certification from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and are a member of, or eligible for membership with, the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario.
