Northern Health is seeking one Psychiatrist to join a team of 5 others in the Northeast Health Service Delivery Area (2 in Dawson Creek and 3 in Fort St John). The selected candidate will work in a private practice and mental health team. There is an excellent working relationship with primary care physicians. Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Services include:

•            Diagnostics and Medical imaging with CT

•            Cancer care

•            Orthopedic Trauma and Surgical Centre for the North East region of BC

Dawson Creek is known as "Mile Zero", where the world-famous Alaska Highway begins! The city has a population of approximately 12,500, provides primary service to a population of 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region, approximately 60,000.

In order to be eligible for licensure in BC, your postgraduate training must meet the requirements of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
