Nurse Practitioner Needed

The Hardin Medical Clinic is looking for a professional Nurse Practitioner to provide primary medical care to a wide variety of patients in the Fort McMurray area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general medical care, maintaining accurate and current patient records, actively participating in referral triage, panel management and administering follow up appointments. The chosen Nurse Practitioner will work as a team with our nurses, physicians and support staff towards delivering premium care to each patient.

Job Duties:

  • Perform screenings of patient history and physical examinations;

  • Updating patient records;

  • Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity;

  • Advising patients on health care;

  • Ordering laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic investigations;

  • Examining patients and taking medical histories;

  • Consulting physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate care;

  • Collaborating with other physicians and mental health care practitioners;

  • Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat disease.

Education Required:

  • Masters degree in nursing

  • Licence to practice as a nurse practitioner in the province of Alberta 

  • Registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta 

  • Current Certification in occupational health nursing in Canada is preferred

Specific skills:
