Physiatrist

The Department of Medicine at Scarborough Health Network is seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be working with a strong, supportive and collegial group of colleagues in a three-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services. He or she will provide consultation services for patients admitted to our stroke/orthopedic rehabilitation units and for any medical or surgical inpatients who would benefit from a physiatry assessment.  Depending on the successful candidate’s interest, there will also likely be opportunity to provide physiatry care in the ambulatory setting.

The successful candidate must be eligible for independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Emphasis will be placed on candidates with experience working in a community hospital setting as well as candidates with strong communication skills.
