Job Description – Primary Care Physician – Full Time & Part Time positions available

Position Summary

Triple P Medical Solutions is an innovative Medical Clinic offering Primary Care, Telemedicine, virtual consultations, a walk-in clinic, along with numerous diagnostic and laboratory services. We are looking for primary care physicians to join our team! Opportunities for full time and part time positions are available. The physician will work closely with our Nurse Practitioners, along with the rest of the Triple P team to help patients take charge of their health.

The clinical component will involve working within an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary healthcare to the clients of Triple P Medical Solutions through assessment, prevention, education, rehabilitation and/or therapeutic support services consistent with the standards of care outlined by the College of Physicians.

The successful candidate must be certified to practice in Ontario and be able to build strong working relationships and bring a positive energy to the position

Hours of Work

Both Full time and part time positions are available

Compensation

Compensation at Triple P Medical Solutions is based on experience and qualifications. Triple P Medical solutions is committed to providing extremely competitive wages based on experience and hours desired along with a comprehensive benefits program

Role and Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree from recognized University
  • Current registration with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and a member in good standing
  • Membership and Certification in Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP)
  • License to practice medicine in the Province of Ontario (therefore must be a member of Ontario Medication Association)
  • Current liability insurance through Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Minimum One (1) year experience post‐medical license
  • Maintains current and appropriate college membership as regulated under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991
  • Maintains malpractice insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association

Responsibilities include:

Services and System Improvement

  • Diagnoses and treats acute and/or chronic conditions, incorporating health teachings and advising other staff as appropriate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as required
  • Performs telephone and virtual consultation when necessary, which may include assessment and advice
  • Provides after hours medical care for clients in rotation with other medical staff as mutually agreed
  • Ensures that standards of client care are maintained according to accepted College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario standards and policies of Triple P medical Solutions  and the Regulated Health Professions Act
  • Makes internal and external referrals as appropriate
  • Provides home visits when required and mutually agreed to
  • Refers to therapeutic counselling or short‐term crisis management when required
  • Participates in case conferences with other providers to ensure coordination of services to the client
  • Collaborates with medical team and other teams across the organization to identify and provide health education to target groups
  • Work with other bodies to implement specific initiatives addressing priority conditions and populations
  • Participates in community projects or agency activities as are presentative of the Health Clinic as needed
  • Assists in the development of community outreach programs based on the needs of individuals and the community as required
  • Participates in the development of, and gives support to policies and strategies that are in the interest of public health and recognize the determinants of health
  • Incorporates healthcare advances into practice and bases this practice on the changing demographics and evolving needs of the community

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Supports and/or supervises staff within the health clinic as required
  • Acts as the external and internal clinical lead for all initiatives and engagement activities
  • Maintains complete and accurate records sufficient for timely communication with other professionals
  • Participates in all relevant Triple P Medical Solutions programs, training sessions, activities, meetings, professional associations, and workshops as required
  • Participates in the development of clinical policies and procedures as required
  • Participates in planning and evaluation of clinical programs, staff,  and activities as required
  • Performs clinical management tasks such as infection control, sterilization procedures and maintenance of clinical equipment and supplies
