The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for Lakeridge Health is inviting applications for a Full-Time Locum position: for an anticipated period of 6 months starting December 2020 or as soon as available. It is uncertain if a full-time permanent position will be available after this time but if so, the successful candidate can apply as part of the standard hiring process.

The position will include: turn-key access to private office space with support staff, access to hospital-based outpatient minor procedure clinic, hand clinic (supported by physio/occupational hand therapists and casting technicians), dedicated main operating room time, and participation in comprehensive breast and micro-reconstructive surgery.

The successful candidate will provide care primarily based out of Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Bowmanville sites with the option of privileges at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg (both for main OR and minor procedures). Call is shared equally amongst the members of the group.

The candidate must hold a fellowship in Plastic Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must hold an independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.  Fellowship training in Breast reconstruction and/or Microsurgery is an asset but not required.
