Locum Tenens Position

April 4, 2021 – April 3, 2022

Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community based academic health network in Ontario serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region and West Toronto.  The hospital encompasses three main sites – Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC) – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs including the Peel Regional Cancer Centre.

The Division of Hematology is comprised of a dedicated group of Hematologists working at all three sites.  The Division provides a full spectrum of Hematology consultation and related services, for patients with benign hematology conditions. 

We currently have a Locum Tenens position available, from April 4, 2021 – April 3, 2022, to join our team, to provide Hematology consultations for inpatients at the Mississauga Hospital, serve as the MRP for a limited number Hematology admissions, and participate in shared Hematology and Oncology sub-specialty call. All Associate and Active members also share in providing unplanned care services within the Medicine program, which may include some participation in Internal Medicine coverage in the Emergency Department or additional coverage of Medicine inpatients, in addition to emergent/urgent Hematology consultations.

The successful candidates will promote and exemplify excellence in professional practice and conduct and be licensed, or eligible for licensure in Ontario, with certification in Hematology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent. Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to team based and inter-professional care are essential.
