Our client, Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) (www.mhalliance.on.ca), is made up of two partner sites, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, a 54-bed community hospital located just west of London, Ontario and Four Counties Health Services, a primary care facility providing emergency care, diagnostic services, and rehabilitation services, located midway between London and Chatham in the beautiful southwest Ontario region.  MHA offers inpatient and outpatient acute care services including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care, maternal/child care, diagnostic and rehabilitation services.  In addition, a wide range of health services are provided by skilled health professionals working in multidisciplinary teams within a variety of ambulatory clinics including day surgery, ECG, stress testing, respirology, cardiology, colposcopy, endoscopy, audiology, dermatology, radiology, ultrasound, orthopaedic clinic, and an active and successful Adult Day Centre.   The MHA Clinical Team is seeking an Internal Medicine Generalist or Subspecialist.

Opportunities exist for MRP/Consultative hospital practice providing clinical support for ICU/ER/Hospitalist programs.  Remuneration is Fee-for-Service with On-call funding.  In addition to General Internal Medicine and Intensive Care practice, excellent practice opportunities exist for candidates with Specialty Certification in other areas including Cardiology, Respirology, and Endocrinology.  Staff Physicians also have the option to have a personal office / clinic on site where they attend private patients, either in post-hospitalization follow-up or as referred by other physicians in the community.  Tertiary care services are 20 minutes away at London Health Sciences Centre.

Physicians at MHA have the opportunity to educate and mentor medical students and residents from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, London, Ontario, with professional staff members at MHA eligible to hold a University appointment.

Successful candidates will possess an FRCPC in Internal Medicine with or without subspecialty training and will be eligible for Ontario licensure.  Preferred candidates will bring clinical excellence and teamwork to ensure that MHA delivers high quality patient care through a well functioning Internal Medicine and Intensive Care service.
