Our client, Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) (www.mhalliance.on.ca), is made up of two partner sites, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, a 54-bed community hospital located just west of London, Ontario and Four Counties Health Services, a primary care facility providing emergency care, diagnostic services, and rehabilitation services, located midway between London and Chatham in the beautiful southwest Ontario region.  MHA offers inpatient and outpatient acute care services including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care, maternal/child care, diagnostic and rehabilitation services.  In addition, a wide range of health services are provided by skilled health professionals working in multidisciplinary teams within a variety of ambulatory clinics including day surgery, ECG, stress testing, respirology, cardiology, colposcopy, endoscopy, audiology, dermatology, radiology, ultrasound, orthopaedic clinic, and an active and successful Adult Day Centre.   The MHA Clinical Team is seeking an Anesthesiologist or Family Practice Anesthetist.

MHA’s Anesthesiologist group covers 3 operating rooms in addition to diagnostic clinics and procedure rooms spanning two sites providing a broad range of medical care from preoperative anesthesia assessment to advanced service in many perioperative settings.  This collegial group provides service for close to 3,100 surgical cases, 2,250 and endoscopic procedures, as well as approximately 80 births each year.  Physicians at MHA have the opportunity to educate and mentor medical students and residents from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, London, Ontario, with professional staff members at MHA eligible to hold a University appointment.

Candidates must be certified, or eligible for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anesthesiology or the College of Family Physicians of Canada with a Certificate of Added Competence in Family Practice Anesthesia and hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.  Offering great flexibility and work/life balance, this opportunity includes a very attractive compensation and relocation incentive package.
