Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community based academic health network in Ontario serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region and West Toronto. The hospital encompasses three main sites – Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC) – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs including the Peel Regional Cancer Centre.
The Division of Hematology is comprised of a dedicated group of Hematologists working at all three sites. The Division provides a full spectrum of Hematology consultation and related services, for patients with benign hematology conditions.
We currently have Locum Tenens positions available, effective immediately through July 17, 2022, to join our team, to provide Hematology consultations for inpatients, serve as the MRP for a limited number Hematology admissions, and participate in shared Hematology call. All Associate and Active members also share in providing unplanned care services within the Medicine program, which may include some participation in Internal Medicine coverage in the Emergency Department or additional coverage of Medicine inpatients, in addition to emergent/urgent Hematology consultations.
The successful candidate will promote and exemplify excellence in professional practice and conduct and be licensed, or eligible for licensure in Ontario. Certification in Hematology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent is an asset.
Should the successful candidate be a General Internist with a special interest in Hematology, appropriate supports will be provided including but not limited to hematologist on-call phone support.
These positions represent an opportunity to join a group of dedicated healthcare professionals in a progressive organization. We are strongly committed to diversity within the community and especially welcome applications from visible minority group members, women, Aboriginal persons, and persons with disabilities, members of sexual minority groups, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
