Executive Director

With ties to Dog Tales, the renowned King City animal rescue and horse sanctuary, a new advanced veterinary clinic and emergency hospital is now being built that will be a well-equipped, 24-hour hospital for large and companion animals.  After years of planning, construction is underway under the development expertise of one of Canada’s leading construction companies, PCL Construction, with an estimated completion date of spring/summer 2022.  The hospital is planned to be 54,000-square-feet, and will include three levels below ground, one main floor and one second story. It will have the latest, and most advanced technological equipment, including MRI, CT scanners, ultrasound, and digital x-ray. The facility will provide a full range of veterinary care for large and companion animals, emergency surgery with advanced surgical suites, treatment platforms for cancer, a holistic centre, education programs, hydrotherapy and more.

An Executive Director is being sought to lead this ground-breaking new animal hospital. Accountable to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will play a key role in the establishment and ongoing success of the hospital. They will implement a strategic business plan that reflects the values and supports the objectives of the hospital. Once established, the Executive Director will oversee all clinical and hospital operations, including operational planning and strategy, resource management, patient flow, budget management, internal communications, facilities management, training and development, performance management, stakeholder engagement, etc. The Executive Director will recruit, oversee, and lead a diverse team, including veterinary technicians, veterinarians, surgeons, specialists, emergency and animal care attendants, and administrative team members.
