Obstetrician Gynecologist

West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) has been caring for West Niagara residents for over 70 years. As a community hospital, WLMH provides both inpatient services and outpatient services including emergency services, low intensity rehabilitation, palliative care, surgery, and a maternal and newborn care program. As a site of Hamilton Health Sciences, WLMH also serves as a point of access to one of the largest health systems in Canada for patients requiring more specialized care.

WLMH has an exciting opportunity for an Obstetrician/Gynecologist locum position to work along-side a busy established Obstetrician/Gynecologists in providing care for low-risk pregnancies, gynecological care and surgery in our newly updated surgical department. The Obstetrician/Gynecologists, also would provide consultant support for a large group of family physicians, who provide primary care to the community as well as family physicians who do obstetrics and Midwives.

WLMH recently completed an 18 month infrastructure project, including updating the operating rooms, and continues to reintroduce obstetrical and surgical services as well as expanded day surgery procedures post renovation and redirection of services related to COVID-19. WLMH is in the process of redevelopment, with the new facility slated to open in 2025.

Qualifications: Interested applicants must have a FRCSC in OB GYN, and be eligible for a license to practice in Ontario. Applicants must also satisfy the credentialing requirements of Hamilton Health Sciences. The period of service required is from May 1 to October 31, 2021.
