The Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for a Geographical Full Time (GFT) Neurologist in the Section of Neurology. The section is one of 17 in the Department of Internal Medicine, providing patient care, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education, and research. 

This is a GFT academic position within the Section of Neurology, one that has substantial resources within the health system, primarily at two academic health centres and one community-based hospital.  The 28 faculty members form a section that includes a highly productive research group and a strong residency training program. 

The successful candidate will be an academic neurologist, with preference given to those demonstrating strong expertise in stroke management.

This is a geographic full-time, contingent position commencing June 1, 2021 or as soon thereafter as possible, for a term of five years, renewable upon favourable review.  Salary and rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Candidates must have senior specialty qualifications in Neurology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.
