Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community based academic health network in Ontario serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region and West Toronto. The hospital encompasses three main sites – Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and Queensway Health Centre – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs.

THP is a regional cardiac centre with a full range of services including cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, a structural heart program and electrophysiology. There are a total of 31 CCU and CSICU beds  and 76 Cardiology inpatient beds located at the Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital. The Interventional Service, based at the Mississauga Site, is a high volume, high paced, high acuity clinical service with Coronary and Structural Interventions and a commitment to Fellowship Training with the University of Toronto.

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to be a member of our Cardiology Division. The successful candidate shall have FRCPC subspecialty certification in Cardiology. The candidate will also have completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at a recognized training centre and have specific dedicated expertise in Complex and Chronic Total Occlusion Angioplasty, Intravascular Imaging and ideally in Mechanical Circulatory Support technologies. The candidate would be expected to participate in the Interventional Cardiology Service on-call schedule. Effective start date is October 1, 2021 or as mutually agreed upon.

THP is an affiliated academic teaching centre with the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be eligible for appointment with the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and a commitment to an inter-professional care model is essential.
